Hyperspectral imaging (HSI) enables estimation of product quality parameters such as sugar content, fat content, and firmness of fruit. The extra benefit of imaging sensors is their ability to focus the analysis on individual objects or heterogeneous products. In this presentation we will demonstrate the process of building custom estimation solutions without programing in perClass Mira. We will show how to deal with large data sets, how to clean the data effectively by identifying and removing outliers, and how to validate that the solution conforms to user-defined performance targets.
